The last Dragon Emperor, who died roughly 650 years ago, around the time that the Dragon spirit replaced the Whale with the Phoenix in The Cycle. It is said he contracted an illness from his son, Lo Si, and that both died the same day, leaving no heir to the Dragon Throne.
Two generations later, Foon Cha'ni, the "Bear Emperor", took the throne.
