Master Anguo is a student of Master Koji, and a master of the Fivefold Way in her own right. She teaches in Iron Mountain.


Contents

Level 1 shticks:

  • Fire Utility: Extinguish or strengthen any natural fire smaller than a bread box. Freq 5, Power 1.
  • Earth Utility: In an instant, dig a hole in soft ground as large as a grave. Freq 2, Power 3.
  • Wood Utility: Identify a sample of any wood. Freq 2, Power 3.
  • Polish Metal: Polish and shine a metal object or surface, removing grime, tarnish, surface rust, etc. Also can remove small nicks and dents, sufficient to hone a normal sword. Will not restore or improve structural integrity or give any combat bonuses. Freq 4, Power 1.
  • Purify Water: I can purify several gallons of water, 1/scene. Freq 3, Power 2.

Level 2 shticks:

  • Meta II: When learning an elemental shtick, you may convert it from one elemental form to another one, if mechanically appropriate. Freq 2, Power 5.
  • Water Defense: Hold your breath for the duration of a scene/combat. Freq 2, Power 6.
  • Wood Defense: Raise a wall of brambles up (up to Chi successes away, yang hexes long, 1 hex high) if you are on natural ground outdoors. Will do x3 damage to anyone who tries to climb over it. Freq 3, Power 4.
  • Return Weapon: Whenever I need it, my kusarigama floats back to my hand. (This does not let it escape being held or otherwise unable to move). Freq 6, Power 2.

Level 3 shticks:

  • Meta III: When learning a non-elemental shtick, you may convert it to an appropriate elemental form. Freq 2, Power 8.
  • Fire Attack: Make a Yang roll to raise a circle of fire around me; if someone melee attacks me through it, they take x3 damage, but wood weapons are destroyed. (The fire dies after it has an effect). Freq 2, Power 7.
  • Grasping Vines: 1/action, +5 accuracy for a grapple attack with kusarigama as vines grow and entangle. Freq 5, Power 3.

Level 4 shticks:

  • Metal Defense: Take half damage from metal weapons. Freq 6, Power 4.
  • Wood Meta: Spend a chi to alter the element of an elemental shtick (of power 7 or less) to Wood when using it, 1/turn. Freq 3, Power 7.

Level 5 shticks:

  • Stone Root: 1/turn, I am immovable when standing on the ground. Freq 4, Power 7.
