Description

Yanyu is a slender woman who appears to be in her 20s. When she first joined the circus Yanyu's clothing was 'minor noblewoman who has seen better days'. She added a few nicer pieces after traveling with the circus a while. During book six she swapped out all the older stuff for much more high quality items from her home country of the Illuminated Precints.

Background

Yanyu is the widow of a soldier of the Dragon Army. She learned the barbarian tongues when her husband was stationed at first the southern and then the northern walls. She is originally from the Illuminated Precincts, where she learned a thing or two about Astrology.

  • Love Potion: Once per run I may perform the Love Potion ritual working and it automatically succeeds. (Frequency: 2, Power: 8, Major, Taught, Cost: 16)
  • Secret Language: The members of your triad share a secret language that no one can decode. (Frequency: 6, Power: 3, Major, Taught, Cost: 18)
  • Use Triad Skill: Use any skill listed on a triad member's sheet as if it were your own. (Frequency: 3, Power: 5, Major, Taught, Cost: 10)
  • Seduction Resistance: Once per scene double dice for seduction resistance rolls. (Frequency: 3, Power: 6, Major, Taught, Cost: 18)
  • Fated Dodge: Dodge with Yin. (Freq 6, Power 3, Major, Taught, Cost: 18)
  • Horoscope Divination: Given a group or list of entitiles you may divide them up between the appropriate Cycle spirits which most closely represent their nature or motive, and from that division perform furthur clarifying divination. (Frequency: 2, Power: 7, Major, Taught, Cost: 14)


Level 4 Shticks

  • Summon/Contact Spirit/Demon: Summon or contact a spirit given it's name; requires a chi roll. (Frequency: 3, Power: 8, Minor, Taught, Cost: 36)
  • Sense Connection: Once per ten minutes determine the most important person who is not here, connected to the person you are talking to. (Frequency 4, Power: 5, Major, Taught, Cost: 20)
  • The Stars Protect: Immune to chi effects from a Catalogued person. (Freq 3, Power 7, Major, Taught, Cost: 21)
  • Aspected Blessing: I can spend a Chi to put the "blessing" of a particular aspect on a soon-to-happen scene or event. (Freq 3, Power 7, Major, Taught, Cost: 21)

Level 5 Shticks

  • Child Protection Officer: For the duration of the scene no child may be attacked until you are incapacitated. (Frequency: 3, Power: 10, Major, Taught, Cost: 30)
  • True Understanding: Double dice for perception and scrying rolls against a Catalogued person (unless for a shtick that requires that they be Catalogued). (Freq 5, Power 6.)

Level 6 Shticks

  • Wrath of the Phoenix: Once per turn roll your Yang to consume an enemy in Fire. Ranged damage = Yang successes * 6 (Frequency: 4, Power: 8, Major, Taught, Cost: 32)
