A character's profession, or other life focus. This should generally be one or two words - "Archer", "General", "Sorcerer", "Martial Artist", "Circus Clown", "Zen Master", etc.

It is said that a great sorcerer can only be finally defeated by another sorcerer, a master of the blade by another swordsman. But no doubt such things are children's tales.
