One of the three ruling houses of the Shrouded Isle. Some of its members include:
- Kuan-Xi, betrothed to Minoru Katsu but avoiding him, and a member of the House of Harmony in the Song of the Phoenix.
- Kuan-Xi's mother, who is formidable enough that she should have a name and a page of her own.
- Suzuki Jiro, a scholar and lesser contender to be the next Firelord.
- Suzuki Yori, known as a clever man, and a lesser contender to be the next Firelord.
According to Kuan-Xi's mother, the political costs of avoiding her arranged marriage are mounting by the day.
