Max is hunting for clues about his latest vision when he encounters Blaze. He tells her his vision (there's a mob wanting to crush a bug, but if the bug is crushed, corruption will be released, particularly upon the hand that does the crushing, but no one will notice it). Blaze suggests that this is about the Shrine to Vytarus Scave, which people have in fact been agitating to get rid of. A trip to the Faithmarket supports this interpretation, so Blaze takes Max to visit Adara.
Blaze and Max relate the story so far to Adara, who suggests that Max go to the Temple of luma to verify whether his vision is true. Max is a bit miffed, but goes, with Blaze and Galina in tow. He is instructed to pray to luma, which he does, learning that his vision is indeed about a (possible) consequence of the plan to get rid of the Shrine. The priestess tells him that he can get further information if he makes a vow (creates a new Truth), so he promises to find someone with the Sight and get them to be a student at the Acydystra. His second prayer tells him that whatever this is, it isn't part of a Master Plan To Return To Power by Scave, though possibly his hand is in it somewhere, and also that Thoth doesn't know about it.
Blaze and Max return to report to Adara. She tells them some things about the Church Purge that she found out in her Library research. Blaze says she'll keep investigating bardic sources, and Max volunteers to ask his mentor at the Acydystra. Max, with Blaze and Galina in tow, goes off to pursue this errand.
