These should really have one-sentence descriptions...

Whew! These are tough! --Eon 21:35, 16 December 2009 (EST)

I vote for getting rid of all the "In which" because it makes it too easy to accidentally jump from one line to another when reading. Xian 10:32, 24 December 2009 (EST

I like the "In which", but I guess this would be ok as long as you change the verb tense to something more exotic. --HeidiB 11:10, 24 December 2009 (EST)
Like what? You want them in prehesternal pluperfect continuous preterite? Xian 16:32, 24 December 2009 (EST)
That sounds good! Can you give me a sample? Or how about if each one starts with "Our heroes"? --HeidiB 23:58, 24 December 2009 (EST)
Sorry, English doesn't have any prehesternal tenses. Anyway, what is it with the fondness for clichéd sentence openings? What would be wrong with just saying what happened, like

  • Chapter 2: The sorceress Zhantai gets angry and whips the orphans; the Regency Council representative plots the murder of the wretched eunuchs.
  • Chapter 3: Deng Zhi-hao rebukes Yoshi in the Garden of Dampness and Mildew; Lei-Ling wins over Lucky Chang with offerings of gravel and oysters.
  • Chapter 4: Deposing the king of the Hon'eth Arcade, the House of Quiet Concordance seizes the throne; plotting against the villain Tai Lung; Master Tranh presents a dagger.

  • Chapter 7: Xie Xie fights with Hikaru at the Pearl River; Akimoto the Astonishing crosses a different river of the same name and flirts with Lijuan.

  • Chapter 9: Getting rid of the tyrant, Anto helps the Minister of Gazebos; attacking Chang'an, Lijuan listens to Iron-Shirt Jo-jo.
  • Chapter 10: Malkoha stages an uprising on behalf of the royal pharmacy; Ti Jun sends an army to avenge the death of his father.

Are talking about the same run? I like the other version better. --HeidiB 23:36, 26 December 2009 (EST)

Also it reminds me of Winnie-the-Pooh, which is not bad, but is inappropriately genred. Xian 16:32, 24 December 2009 (EST)

It may be obvious, but I want to come down firmly on the side of "In which." --Eon 21:56, 27 December 2009 (EST)

No, it wasn't obvious. I was kind of hoping you would be swayed by my Winnie-the-Pooh observation. Xian 09:47, 28 December 2009 (EST)
