Is the Conflux use of spending a karma point to decide that a particular NPC is around and available also a fair use? --Eon 10:24, 19 April 2009 (EDT)

Yup, that's a special case of "Resolve a small random situation in your favor" (assuming that it's plausible for them to be around.) --Boojum 10:44, 19 April 2009 (EDT)
I am totally spending a karma on monkey clowns at the first remotely possible excuse! -- Heidi, 4/19

In the run today, I think I saw Xian refresh his spent points of Yin with a Karma point, but I don't see that on the list. Is that a missing option?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure multiple people suggested to me that I do that, but it's also definitely not on the list. --Xian 02:28, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
Actually, it is, but hidden within the first bullet. "Replenish a shtick of frequency once-a-run or greater (including one Tao stat of fortune) " --Brilit 08:16, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
Admittedly, that clarification only got added during the run, but it was something we had been thinking of as a special case of the shtick-replenishment. --Boojum 09:10, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
I saw that, but isn't there a distinction between the the ability to use Yin as Fortune (once per run, doesn't lower its value for rolls) and the ability to spend points of Yin (one per point, lowering its value). The new clarification seemed to suggest the former to me, not the latter. Kurgan 12:24, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
Did this ever get resolved? I'm still confused about this point. Xian 19:23, 11 December 2009 (EST)
