A character's Major Concept is the intersection of their Specialty and their Cycle aspect animal. Their Minor concept is the union of the two. Whether a shtick is in a character's Major Concept, their Minor Concept, or neither, affects its price. Shticks in the Major Concept are cheapest, and therefore (probably) the most plentiful.
For example: A character might be a "Bear/Swordsman" or "Monkey/Thief". Major concept shticks for a Bear/Swordsman might include the ability to use a two-handed sword with one hand, or the ability to add Health dice to a parry. Minor concept shticks might include the ability to throw a sword (Swordsman, not Bear), or bonuses to grapple and immobilize a much larger/stronger opponent (Bear, not Swordsman).
