We have pretty good evidence that Northern magic is pairs of stats for the different types of magic.
We have some evidence that Southern magic does it too. Shadow is probably Light and Dark.
If we look, can we find similar pairings in civilized magic? Is there a form of magic which uses Yin and Chi, for example?
